| The backbone of the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) fleet, the General Motors (GM) T6H-5307N "New Look" model diesel high floor buses were purchased by the TTC from 1959 up until 1983. The present fleet currently ranges from the years 1981 to 1983. While many have retired from revenue service, there are some continuing to serve Toronto daily after going through the rebuild programs offered at Duncan shops at Hillcrest Repair Facility. The rebuilt buses have been renumbered into the 2000 series.
The 2700-2765, 2767-2856 series are mostly equipped with UWE. Some of the buses were originally numbered in the 8520-8561, 8570 and 8572-8729 series. There is no bus numbered 2766 as a result of a Peter Witt Streetcar in the historic streetcar fleet with the same number. The buses are allocated to Malvern Garage in Scarborough and are equipped with the Detroit Diesel 6V71N engine and Allison V730 Transmission. A large part of this series has been retired.
