| The backbone of the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) fleet, the General Motors (GM) T6H-5307N "New Look" model diesel high floor buses were purchased by the TTC from 1959 up until 1983. The present fleet currently ranges from the years 1981 to 1983. While many have retired from revenue service, there are some continuing to serve Toronto daily after going through the rebuild programs offered at Duncan shops at Hillcrest Repair Facility. The rebuilt buses have been renumbered into the 2000 series.
The 2240-2485 series were formerly numbered 8740-8985. The buses are split among Wilson Garage in North York and Malvern Garage in Scarborough. The buses are equipped with the Detroit Diesel 6V71N engine and Allison V730 transmission. A handful of them have retired. Photos in this section are taken by Felix Poon, D.Yip or Ryan Flores. |
