Durham Region Transit

Durham Region Transit operates transit service in the City of Pickering, Town of Ajax, Town of Whitby, City of Oshawa, Township of Uxbridge and the Municipality of Clarington. Durham Region Transit began its operations on January 1st, 2006. Durham Region Transit is an amalgamation of the Ajax-Pickering Authority (Amalgamation of Pickering and Ajax Transits in 2001), Whitby Transit, Oshawa Transit Commission and Clarington Transit (Operated under contract with Oshawa). Its fleet of buses consist of GM T6H-5307N "New Look", Orion I, Orion V, GM and MCI TC40-102N "Classic", Orion VI, New Flyer D40, New Flyer D40LF, MTB Glider and Novabus LFS.
